When I started my social media career, “The New Rules of Marketing & PR by David Meerman Scott became my marketing bible.
I basically slept with that book for months. Just like Peyton Manning, Michael Vick and Tom Brady study their playbook, this is how I felt about “New Rules”.
So imagine my surprise at Border’s when I came across his recent effort “Real-Time Marketing & PR”.
Scott’s latest is a great sequel to “New Rules”. I was very interested in the case studies , including those on the successes of TMZ and Politico who either non existent or just starting when “New Rules” was released.
For anyone who are looking to learn more about crowdsourcing, engaging reporters and how to use technology effectivley to connect, pick this book up.
Even if you are a newbie to the social media game, “Real Time Marketing and PR” is a great blueprint on what you can achieve in new media.
