2 Social 2 Quit! MC Hammer Launches WireDoo

It has  been a pretty good year for Stanley Burrell aka M.C. Hammer.

He was a surprise hit at the  Insane Clown Posse’s   “Gathering of the Juggalos” concert this summer.

His classic track “U Can’t  Touch” has found new life as the hook for Kanye West’s protegé  Big Sean’s latest single “Dance”.

But the Hammer’s biggest coup of 2011 is his continued reinvention as a social media dynamo as he launches the search engine Wiredoo.

While attending the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco,  Hammer said Wiredoo’s  “ initiative doesn’t aim to recreate search, but rather to make search a deeper experience“.

Although Hammer has to go some to carve out a search engine niche with Google dominating marketplace,  you have to admire his drive  to not only reshape the technology  landscape, but himself as well.
